Aug. 5: Could Be Uglier
RANT: Things can get uglier.
Should the general public attitude become one of suspecting laws are made for crooks? The disturbing fact about drivers on the streets with no insurance, etc, is only the number of them and why. They are there. Consider the following:
Implementation of a determined program of driver license check points would result in the following — an estimated 20 percent of drivers would be taken off the roads.
Two of the most disgusting contributors to this mess is it is easy to buy invalid insurance receipt.
The last time I renewed my license plate I was asked for insurance and driver license. I pointedly asked the clerk if she asked everyone the same questions.
Finally people, please don’t trash talk me with “lack of resources,” “manpower,” rights, political correctness, etc. I was born in 1931 to law abiding parents and I therefore know better.
