Man, Woman With Alleged East Texas Ties Arrested in Las Vegas Runaway's Death
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A man and a woman are jailed over the death of a 17-year-old runaway whose body was found in a shallow grave northwest of Las Vegas.
Twenty-one-year-old Anne Osburn and 31-year-old Gabriel Yates were booked into the Clark County, Nevada, Detention Center on charges of murder and kidnapping.
According to reports, public data information indicates the suspects formerly lived in East Texas. The information listed Osburn as living in Tyler, while Yates had lived in Whitehouse. They're held without bail.
A coroner today identified the victim as Nichole Elizabeth Yegge. Officials say she died of asphyxiation.
Investigators on July 28th received a tip that led them to a Las Vegas apartment where the girl had been living.
Investigators say they were later led to a remote desert area south of the Snow Mountain Paiute Indian Reservation, where they found the victim's body.
