Arp Star in High School Basketball All-star Game Tonight

SAN ANTONIO — Arp’s Corey Walker will be on the big stage once again. Or make that court.

SAN ANTONIO — Arp’s Corey Walker will be on the big stage once again. Or make that court.
Walker, who helped Arp to two Final Four appearances, will play in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Game Monday at Bill Greehey Arena on the campus of St. Mary’s University.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Walker, a 5-8 point guard, helped the Tigers to the 2006 state championship and the state tournament this season. He will play for the South.

Mike Murphy of Pflugerville is coaching the South.
Other members of the South are 6-3 forward Timothy Johnson of Hendrickson, 6-4 guard Brock Kimball of Ingleside (Texas A&M-Kingsville signee), 5-8 point guard Gene Edwards of Corpus Christi West Oso, 5-7 point guard Abel Galliguez of Stafford Dulles (John Brown University), 6-2 guard Brandon Irwin of Thorndale (Long Island University), 6-6 forward Julian Boyd of San Antonio Taft, 6-8 guard Steven Stolle of Falls City, 6-11 forward James Blasczyk of Friendswood (TCU), 6-8 forward Corbin Ray of Katy Taylor (Texas Tech), 6-7 forward Terry Bembry of Fort Bend Bush (Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, IUPUI), and 6-2 guard Daniel Marsh of Hardin.

Slam dunk contestants are Boyd, Bembry and Marsh for the South, Dixon, Colley and Houliston for the North.
