Texas College Announces New President
Dr. Dwight Fennell, a former president of Paul Quinn College, will take over as president of Texas College in Tyler.

The announcement was made during a news conference this morning.

Fennell is currently serving as an administrator at Texas College. He replaces Dr. Billy Hawkins, who left in October 2007 to serve as president of Talladega College in Alabama.

Dr. William H. Harris is the interim president.

Texas College was created in 1894 and is affiliated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.
