  • Honors
  • One hundred and ninety-one students were named to the President’s List for the spring 2008 semester.

  • To be named to the President’s List, a student must compile a 4.000 grade point average (out of 4.000 possible) and be classified as a full-time student, with a minimum of 12 academic hours.

  • Ryan Christian Wickham, a 2006 honor graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, was accepted to the Masters in Professional Accounting program at the University of Texas Austin’s McCombs School of Business. While at REL, he played basketball, was a member of the Spanish and science clubs and the National Honor Society.

  • After attending Tyler Junior College for one year, he transferred to McCombs in August 2007, where he is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, a national business honor society. Ryan is the son of Leslie and Bob Wickham, of Tyler.

  • Mary Caroline Young, a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is included on the undergraduate honor roll for the Spring 2008 semester.

  • To be listed on the honor roll with the highest distinction, students must be in the top 5 percent of their school of record.
