Father, Son Charged With Burglary Of Building
LONGVIEW — A man who climbed into the ceiling of a drug store and his father who was waiting outside face criminal charges.

Police were called to Drug Emporium, 2321 Loop 281, on Tuesday night, when an employee reported a man entered a storeroom and climbed into the ceiling, said Officer Kevin Brownlee, Longview police information officer.

When Ricky Reed Jr., 30, was removed and taken into custody, a person in a vehicle outside fled.

Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as the suspect’s father, 52-year-old Ricky Reed Sr., Brownlee said.

Both were charged with burglary of a business and possession of criminal instruments, Brownlee said.
