Two People Shot During Longview Disturbance; One Man Dead
A 29-year-old Longview man died from injuries suffered in a shooting late Sunday evening.
Jimmy Fitts of Longview was later pronounced dead at the hospital by Justice of the Peace B.H. Jameson. The body has been sent to Southeast Texas Forensics Center in Tyler for an autopsy. The results of that autopsy are pending.
At approximately 10:56 p.m. Sunday, officers observed a large group of people gathered in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 1700 block of Mobberly Avenue in Longview, according to Longview Police Public Information Officer Kevin Brownlee. Officers heard gunshots being fired from the parking lot and
responded, finding that two subjects had suffered gunshot wounds, according to police.

Fitts and 29-year-old Arnaldo Scott, also of Longview, were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life- threatening injuries. Scott is currently listed in stable condition, according to Longview Police.
