July 20: Good Samaritan
RAVES: Send roses to Don who stopped on Texas Highway 154, about 20 miles south of Sulphur Springs, on July 11, to assist four senior women. Our car had run over an empty, plastic gas can in the middle of the northbound lane, and unfortunately, the can became wedged under the car.
We were all trying to get it loose, but it would not budge.
Luckily, Don, being a "good Samaritan," stopped to assist us. He figured out the complicated car jack system, raised the car enough to remove the gas can, and sent us on our way with a smile, in time to catch an 8 a.m. bus in Sulphur Springs.
It is good to know there are still people like Don who are willing to take the time to help others in distress.
