July 20: Stealing Spaces
RANT: To stealing spaces, the lady who gets angry and insulted when someone asks, "Why is she parking in handicapped spaces?"
She should take 15 seconds to explain she has "a debilitating condition, but, thank you for asking."
As a handicapped person, she should know better than anyone that the single largest number of people that abuse handicapped parking are people who have handicapped plates or placards.
The law says the handicapped person who has the permit must be in the car. Relatives of handicapped persons are not to use these spaces.
If you want proof, go to the mall and sit and watch, when you see a 16 or 17-year-old driving a SUV with disabled vet license plates. You can bet the farm they are breaking the law.
