July 13: Great Surprise
ROSES: What a great surprise to open The Tyler Paper's Sports section. My husband called out, "Look, there's Lara." Your editor selected the AP photograph of Lara Jackson just after she set the U.S. record time during the women's 50-meter freestyle at the Olympic trials.

How he knew Lara Jackson is the grandniece of Jack Jackson, resident of Emerald Bay is beyond us, but we thank you for the coverage.

We will be sending several copies back to her parents in El Paso and her grandparents in Glendora, Cali.
