Dancers To Perform At Capital One Bowl

The Capital One Bowl halftime show is proud to announce the recent selection of four local girls Erin O’Quinn, Kacee Mullikin, Bridgette Aarant and Tessa Robinson from Steppin’ Out and Turning Pointe Studio in Tyler, to the official Capital One Bowl halftime performance cast.
Erin O’Quinn of Tyler, attends Hogg Middle School. Kacee Mullikin of Tyler is a home school student. Bridgette Aarant of Noonday attends The Brook Hill School and Tessa Robinson, of Bullard, is a home schooled student. These students have been competing locally, regionally and nationally throughout 2008 in order to qualify for this performance invitation.
The cast selection is made up of students from all over the nation. Performers include baton twirlers, flag/rifle color guard, drum majors, drill team members, cheer teams and dancers. The New Year’s Day extravaganza, held in Orlando and broadcast nationally on ABC-Television, will feature a student presentation and a stadium audience of approximately 65,000.
“The Capital One Bowl halftime show is consistently hailed as the most spectacular New Year’s Day production in the country,” executive producer Bruce Hart said, “Only the Nation’s top students who meet stringent “All American” cast selection qualify to receive this fantastic New Year’s performance opportunity, this is by no means an “Open Call” production.”
The Capital One Bowl’s football game pits two traditional gridiron powerhouses, the Big 10 and Southeastern (SEC) athletic conferences, in one of the country’s most prestigious collegiate bowls.
In addition to their New Year’s performance in Orlando, “All American” cast members will visit many exciting attractions in beautiful Central Florida. Their six-day cast member performance tour includes excursions to Universal Orlando theme parks, and of course, Walt Disney World, including the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT Center, Animal Kingdom, or the Disney/MGM Studios Theme Park.
