Belles Announce New Officers, Line For 2008-09

Officers for 2008-09 are Capt. Leslie Harris, Natalie Tomlinson, Chelsea Dickerson, Emily Harris, Kyndl Williams and Julia Lambeth.
On March 28 the Robert E. Lee High School Southern Belle officers were selected for the 2008-09 line. The candidates were evaluated not only on their leadership and teaching ability but also on a solo of their own choreography, a jazz routine and individual interview by three independent judges from the East Texas area as well as the Southern Belle Directors.

Officers for 2008-09 are Capt. Leslie Harris, Natalie Tomlinson, Chelsea Dickerson, Emily Harris, Kyndl Williams and Julia Lambeth.

On April 11 candidates for the 2008-09 Southern Belle Drill Team Line were evaluated by independent judges as well as the Southern Belle Directors on both a kick and jazz routine. The 2008-09 Drill Team Line consists of Seniors: Katie Anderson, Meagan Arnold, Tara Boggaram, Natzelli Borja, Aubrie Borrelli, Jr. Sgt. Selby Cherian, Erin Garvey, Jenny Green, Sr. Sgt. Haillee Hamblett, Tiarra Jordan, Brooke Lowden, Eliana Molina, Kaylee Lynn, Maggie Montgomery, Shurika Mumphrey, Jessica Pink, Jordan Powell, Moriah Rivera, Lacey Sarver, Chaney Story, Jenni Terry, Shaylon Trammell, Stephanie Wooldridge; Juniors: Charmiah Amie, Jillian Anderson, Hayden Barns, Chelsea Brown, Roxanne Davis, Audrey Ellis, Jill Goecking, Morgan Hopson, Amy Jovanovich, Taylor Justis, Caylee Krouse, Allison Norton, McKenzie Robinson, Christa Schovanec, Erin Shamburger, Michelle Stone, Alex Way, Alyssa White. Manager for the 2008-09 year is Tamecia Malone.

Head Belle Guard is Hayden Pottkotter; and Belle Guards are: Jonathan Bay, Noah Coltman, Jonathan Knight, Chase Lee and Chris Michaels.

The Officers attended the Starmakers Officer Camp held in Richardson, June 9-12, along with 38 other officer lines from Texas, Arkansas and Washington. The camp is designed for drill team officers and teaches leadership, choreography as well as advanced technique. The officers were evaluated daily and performed the most difficult level, Division III, routines. They achieved a Superior Ranking in all five evaluations. They also performed their home routine to “Move You”, choreographed by Baylee Brown, which received both Superior Choreography and Entertainment awards. After demonstrating great performances all week, they were chosen by the staff to perform their chosen routine, “Many Rivers” as the last performance.

The Southern Belle Drill Team is directed by Sara Ormsby and Lyndsay Shaffer.
