HIDEAWAY — Tyler’s Kelsey Kipp and Brownsboro’s Trey Volentine each carded 74s to win their respective divisions in the Northern Texas PGA Ewing Automotive Junior’s Hide-A-Way Lake Tournament Monday at Hide-A-Way Lake Club.

It was Volentine’s eighth straight tournament win.

He won by five strokes over runner-up Harrison Dukes of Bullard in the Boys 14-15 Division. The top five included: 3, Colton McCasland, Longview, 81; 4, Kason Childress, Sulphur Springs, 83; and 5, Chapman Herwood, Tyler, 84.

Kipp won her tournament by 20 strokes over runner-up Ali Womack of Highland Village, while Canton’s Whitney Johnson was third with a 96. They competed in the Girls 15-18 division.

Hideaway’s own D.J. Godoy won the Boys 12-13 division with an 85, one stroke ahead of William Bragdon of Murchison. Tanner Starr of Arp and William Wilder of Henderson tied for third at 91, while Hideaway’s James Marquez was fifth at 94.

Andrew Bloch of Tyler won the Boys 10-11 division with a 36, six strokes ahead of Garrett Landers of Sulphur Springs. Mason Dacus of Ben Wheeler was third at 46, while Brody Blackmon of Sulphur Springs and Jamey Scruggs of Troup tied for fourth at 47.

Tyler’s Parker Freeman and Canton’s Ryan Huddle tied for sixth at 51, one stroke ahead of Canton’s Brock Bozeman.

Brandon Sledge of Longview had the best round of the day with a 1-under 70 to win the Boys 16-18 division. Cameron Clower of Overton and Taylor McAdoo of Bullard tied for second at 78, one stroke ahead of Courtes Walker of Sulphur Springs.

Seth Goolsbee of Tyler and Chase Barbe of Longview tied for fifth with an 80, one stroke ahead of Bullard’s Max LeNorman.

Chase Clark of Van and Adam Perry of Sulphur Springs tied for eighth with an 82.
