JACKSONVILLE — The 46th Annual Jacksonville “Tops in Texas Rodeo” kicks off Wednesday night at 8 p.m. with the full slate of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association events scheduled through Saturday night.
The events will be held each night inside the Jacksonville outdoor rodeo arena, rain or shine.
PRCA events include saddle and bareback bronco riding, steer wrestling, bull riding, team and tie-down calf roping, and barrel racing. Calf scrambles will also be held each night.
Thursday night attendees are encouraged to wear pink clothing items in support of Tough Enough to Wear Pink benefiting breast cancer research. Fans wearing pink will be entered in a raffle for free tickets for Friday or Saturday night’s events.
Post-rodeo concerts on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights are expected to draw big audiences with hometown country music singer Neal McCoy, country singer-songwriter Chris Cagle and Texas country star Stoney LaRue scheduled to perform, respectively.
Inquiries about available tickets should call the rodeo ticket office at 903-586-3285.
