East Texas Pump Jacks Rally In Ninth For Win
McKINNEY The East Texas Pump Jacks rallied for three runs in the ninth inning to defeat McKinney, 8-7, on Tuesday night.
Paige Hodges two-run single with two outs provided the winning margin. Pat McCrory singled home a run earlier in the inning for East Texas (9-10).
Matt Curry hit a two-run homer and McCrory, Josh Riley and Jared Wondra all had two hits for the Pump Jacks.
Matt Shelton (1-0) pitched three hitless innings of relief with three strikeouts to earn the win. Starter Clint Helms earned a no-decision, allowing five runs (three earned) in three innings.
The Pump Jacks conclude the series tonight before returning home to face Brazos Valley on Thursday at Driller Park.
