UPDATE: Video Released Of Family Dollar Store Robbery

Tyler PD converged on the Family Dollar Store at the Westwood Shopping Center after a 12:42 p.m. call reporting an armed robbery on Wednesday. The suspect showed the cashier a fanny pack presumably containing a firearm and demanded money.
Tyler police this afternoon are searching an area near West Front Street and Loop 323 for a man who robbed a Family Dollar Store.
The suspected is a black man who was wearing a do-rag around his head and had an orange fanny pack, said Don Martin, police information officer.
A clerk at the store in the Westwood Shopping Center, said the man entered about 12:40 p.m. today and indicated he had a gun and demanded money.
He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and entered nearby woods.

Police are going from home to home in the area and searching woods.
A pair of pants found in the woods is believed to have come from the suspect, police said.
