Tyler East American Advances In Junior Playoffs
Jake Potter pitched six innings and Seth Gibson earned the save as the Tyler East American All-Stars defeated Tyler East National, 12-4, Saturday in the District 10 Junior League playoffs at Golden Road Park.

With the win, East American advances to the double-elimination round against Crockett. The first game of the best-of-three series is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Road Park.

A.J. Minter had a solo homer for East National.

Members of the East squad are Colton Belcher, Correy Davis, Jarrid Garcia, Seth Gibson, Lance Hampton, Parker Jenkins, Dylan Horinek, Kevin Lewis, Mark Mackey, Jake Potter and Nathan Wood.

On Friday in Crockett, Tyler East American banged out a 13-9 victory over Crockett. The East scored eight runs in the fifth to rally for the win. Garcia got the win on the mound, while Potter had three hits.

On Thursday, East American scored a 20-2 win over Tyler West at Faulkner Field.

East American had 15 hits, paced by Davis’ three hits. The East exploded for 13 runs in the third inning.

Potter was the starting pitching, striking out four and allowing just one hit in three innings of work. Belcher finished the game, striking out two.

Armondo Garcia had a double for the West.

Tyler East National 8, Tyler West American 3

Jackson Davis was 2-for-2 with three RBIs as Tyler East National scored an 8-3 win over Tyler West American in a 10-11 Year-Old District 10 Little League game Saturday at Faulkner Park.

Davis had a double and triple.

Jonathan Spitzer was the starting pitcher for the East. He pitched 4 2/3 innings, striking out 10 and walking only three. He left in the fifth when reaching the 85-pitch limit. Michael Sanders relieved and got the win on the mound.

Jeremiah Reeves, pitching for the West, also left in the fifth when reaching the pitch limit. He struck out five.

Scott Finley added a double for the East, while Brett Corbett had a triple.

Brett Hall and Hunter Wick doubled for the West, while Jace Kuechle contributed a triple.
