Texas College Benefit Golf Tournament Scheduled For Friday
The Texas College athletics department wants to remind Steer fans, supporters and the public in general of its annual Athletic Scholarship Golf Tournament, which will take place Friday at the Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas (1800 Southerland Ave).
The golf tournament has be-come a yearly tradition for the Steer athletics department and serves the purpose of raising funds to support all intercollegiate sports sponsored by Texas College.
Participants will be battling for prizes such as airline tickets and cruise vacations. Several sports celebrities and personalities will be in attendance to the tournament. Among those expected are Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart and former NFL players Larry Centers (Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots) and Lemuel Stinson (Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons).
On-site registration for the tournament will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Cedar Crest Golf Course pavilion.
There is still an opportunity to participate in this event and help to promote Texas College athletics.
