June 24: Not Smarter
RANT: Regardless of what you might think, you are not smarter than a fifth grader. Fifth graders learn from their mistakes, and you do not seem to be able to do this. For example, when taxes are raised, revenues are reduced, and when taxes are lowered, revenues are raised. This has occurred many times with predictable accuracy. Yet, here you are, wanting to raise taxes again.

You continue to reject considering any plan such as drilling for oil domestically or convert shale or coal into gas to increase the amount of energy available for our use and instead propose the nationalization of oil refineries. That's just brilliant.

Nothing that you have proposed would provide one drop of oil. Develop an energy policy that will provide a short term solution to the use of foreign oil and allow for the development of alternate energy sources. You say that domestic drilling won't provide any relief to the problem.

Domestic drilling will provide American jobs, decrease our dependence on foreign oil and decrease the flow of American dollars to foreign countries.

It is time for you to stop the inter-party bickering and start working for the American people.
