June 22: Lacking Vision
Now that gas is $4 a gallon-plus it can now be confirmed that the elephants and donkeys on capital hill are now officially ostriches. They have had their heads in the sand for years now.
Probably oil sand too and they did not know what to do with it. Everybody and their brother have been reporting, writing letters to papers, calling talk shows, and asking these ostriches why we can't start searching for oil in all the known places (ANWR, offshore, western states, etc.). They all seem to have the same response, that it would not do any good, oh puuleease. It is apparent that all of our elected representatives are lacking in vision.
