Lindale, Whitehouse, Pine Tree Squads Highlight 17-4A Soccer
Pine Tree senior Carolyn Leatherman and Lindale senior Charity Shipman were offensive forces for their respective teams this season. Leatherman tallied 31 goals and dished 20 assists while Shipman scored a district-best 41 goals with nine assists.

Both earned top superlative honors for this past season’s 17-4A All-District girls’ soccer team. Leatherman was voted MVP with Shipman chosen top offensive player.

Lindale head coach Jeff Hicks was tabbed Coach of the Year after leading the Lady Eagles to their first-ever district title

Sharing defensive player of the year honors were Brittany Millican from Whitehouse and Sarah Guillory from Pine Tree. Chapel Hill’s Ashley Aparacio was sophomore of the year with Hallsville freshman Emily Lawson named newcomer of the year.
