ROSES: The spirit of giving in the Tyler community was truly represented at the 15th Annual Gil Hitt Memorial Golf Tournament in support of the Tyler Independent School District Foundation at Cascades Golf Club.

The event raised more than $40,000, which will be used in the Foundation activities including incentives for outstanding teachers, recognition events for students and teachers, and quality educational programs.

There were numerous hole, two-hole and goodie bag sponsors. The 19 teams of six players each are appreciated.
