Harrison County

  • Anadarko E&P Co. LP will drill the LeTourneau GU 3 Well No. 11 LeTourneau Gas Unit 2 Well No. 17 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. Both will bottom at 12,000 feet. The No. 11 will be located 15.8 miles southwest of Marshall in the Dyson, I Survey, A-217. The No. 17 will be located 16.3 miles southwest of Marshall in the Pettus, W Survey, A-578.

  • NFR Energy LLC will drill the Winston Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 2, the Allen Well No. 9 and the Gibson Gas Unit No.1 Well No. 6 in a wildcat field. The No. 2 well will be located eight miles northwest of Waskom in the Fuller, F Survey, A-8. It will bottom at 12,200 feet and may also be drilled in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 9 well will be located five miles southeast of Hallsville in the Pinson, J D Survey, A-544, and will hit 12,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The No. 6 well will be located five miles southeast of Longview in the Ferguson, A Survey, A-245. It will bottom at 13,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • In a lease seven miles northeast of Longview in a wildcat field, the Jo Allison Well No. 1 will be drilled by Buffco Production Inc. It will be drilled to 12,000 feet in the Smith, W S Survey, A-637. The well may also be drilled in the Lansing, North (Rodessa) Field, the Lansing, North (Pettit, Lower) Field, the Lansing, North (Travis Peak) Field or the Lansing, North (Cotton Valley, Lower) Field.

  • Sandridge Exploration and Production LLC will drill the Lockhart Well No. 3 and the Bell, Carolynn Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 15. The No. 3 will be located 3.7 miles northeast of Hallsville in the Hallsville, Northeast (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will bottom at 14,000 feet in the Patton, W Survey, A-18 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field. The No. 15 will be located 6.5 miles southeast of Hallsville in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. It will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Watson, W Survey, A-748 and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Williams Well No.4 will be drilled by Shelby Operating Co. in the Waskom (Travis Peak 7) Field to a depth of 6,450 feet. Location will be 5.4 miles south of Waskom in the Wornick, J Survey, A-733. It may also be drilled in the Waskom (Travis Peak 5) Field, the Waskom (Travis Peak 1) Field or the Waskom (Hill) Field.

  • The Mercer Well No. 5, the Bosh Well No. 6 and the Bosh Well No. 9 will be drilled in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field by GMX Resources Inc. The No. 5 will be located 12 miles southeast of Marshall in the Smith, Wm Survey, A-21. The No. 6 will be located 8.5 miles southeast of Marshall in the Borden, T H Survey, A-124. The No. 9 will be located 10 miles southeast of Marshall in the Hall, F Survey, A-311. It may also be drilled in the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • In a lease five miles southeast of Longview, in a wildcat field, the Martin Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 4, the Gibson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 and the Gibson Gas Unit No. 5 will be drilled to 13,000 feet by NFR Energy LLC. The wells will lie in the Ferguson, A Survey, A-245 and may also be drilled in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Brammer Engineering, Inc. will drill the Jossie Taylor Becker Gas Unit Well No. 5 in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will bottom at 10,300 feet in the Lindsey, P Survey, A-391.

  • In a lease 17.1 miles southwest of Marshall in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the LeTourneau Gas Unit 4 Well No. 17 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P Co. LP. It will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Toby, T Survey, A-720.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas LP will drill the Furrh Gas Unit No. 3 Well No. 22 in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. It will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Pearce, E Survey, A-577. Location will be 5.9 miles southwest of Elysian Fields.

  • The Morgan Gas Unit Well No. 2 will be drilled 2.9 miles southwest of Hallsville in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will be drilled to a depth of 11,500 feet in the Hooper, R Survey, A-304 by Craton Energy Holdings III LP.

  • Anderson County

  • The Royal A-883 Well No. 1 will be drilled 4.6 miles northeast of Elkhart in a wildcat field. Carrizo Oil & Gas Inc. will drill the well to 11,500 feet in the Rogers, M Survey, A-883

  • XTO Energy Inc. will drill the Hurbrough Gas Unit Well No. 1. Location is 6.9 miles east of Slocum in the Decker Switch (Travis Peak) Field. Total depth will be 13,500 feet in the Walker, J Survey, A-799. This well may also be drilled in the Decker Switch, Southeast (James Lime) Field, the Decker Switch (Glen Rose) Field, the Decker Switch (Pettit) Field or the Decker Switch (Woodbine) Field.

  • Cherokee County

  • The Mina Well No. 1A will be drilled four miles northwest of Maydelle in the East Texas Field. Total depth will be 5,200 feet in the George Summy Survey, A-803 by Paradigm Exploration LP.

  • Ark-la-Tex LLC is preparing to drill the Romeo Maldonado Gas Unit Well No. 1 in a wildcat field. This well will bottom at 6,000 feet in the Quevedo, T Survey, A-44 and will be located 1.7 miles north of Jacksonville. It may also be drilled in the Jacksonville (Woodbine) Field.

  • The Doyle Creek (Travis Peak) Field will see the Chronister Heirs Well No. 36 and the Chronister Heirs Well No. 37 drilled by XTO Energy Inc. The wells will bottom at 12,800 feet in the Durst, J Survey, A-15. The No. 36 will be located 7.5 miles southeast of Alto and the No. 37 will be located 7.4 miles southeast of Alto. Both wells may also be drilled in the Doyle Creek (Pettit) Field.

  • Freestone County

  • Samson Lone Star LLC is preparing to drill the McMahon Gas Unit Well No. 6 to a depth of 13,400 feet in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. Location is seven miles west of Buffalo in the Diaz, G Survey, A-178. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field, Bear Grass Northeast (Cotton Valley Sand) Field or the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The John Eppes Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 19 is being prepared by XTO Energy Inc. for drilling 5.2 miles southeast of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will reach a total depth of 13,700 feet in the Luna, G Survey, A-18.

  • The Teague (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see more production as XTO Energy Inc. prepares to drill the Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 20, the John Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 11 and the Boyd "A" Gas Unit Well No. 5. The No. 20 well will have a total depth of 13,200 feet and will be located 4.9 miles southeast of Teague in the Lawrence, J Survey, A-364. The No. 11 well will have a total depth of 13,100 feet and will be located 3.8 miles northeast of Teague in the King, M Survey, A-354. The No. 5 well will have a total depth of 12,700 feet and will be located 4.9 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Caradine, I Survey, A-116.

  • XTO Energy Inc. is preparing to drill two wells in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The first well is designated the Tucker Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 and will reach a total depth of 10,500 feet in the Alston, M R Survey, A-39. Location will be three miles southeast of Teague. The second well is designated the Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 22 and will reach a total depth of 13,200 feet in the Lawrence, J Survey, A-364. Location will be five miles southeast of Teague.

  • The WSCGU (Horton-Dickson) Well No. 546 will be drilled three miles southwest of Longview in the Willow Springs (Cotton Valley) Field by XTO Energy Inc. The well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Henry G. Hudson Survey, A-89. This well may also be drilled in the Willow Springs (Travis Peak) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Anadarko Petroleum Corp. will drill the West "B" Well No. 6 and the Parker, Louetta "A" Well No. 7. The No. 6 will be located 1.9 miles southeast of Donie in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. It will bottom at 15,100 feet in the Diaz, G Survey, A-178 and may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field. The No. 7 will be located 6.9 miles west of Oakwood in the Dowdy Ranch (Cotton Valley) Field. It will bottom at 15,992 feet in the Telano, A Survey, A-605.

  • The McSwane Gas Unit Well No. 5 and the McSwane Gas Unit Well No. 15 will be drilled to a depth of 13,600 feet in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The No. 5 will be drilled 6.1 miles southeast of Teague. The No. 15 will be drilled 5.7 miles southeast of Teague. Both wells will lie in the Luna, G Survey, A-18.

  • Houston County

    The Newark, East (Barnett Shale) Field will see the Little Hoss Well No. E 3H, the Little Hoss Well No. E 5H and the Little Hoss Well No. E 7H drilled by Chesapeake Operating Inc. The wells will bottom at 9,000 feet in the Adams, J R Survey, A-1023. Location will be 17.1 miles northwest of Cleburne.

    Leon County

    The Long, Joe & Nell Well No. 1 will be drilled by Dallas Production Inc. in the Eunice (Travis Peak) Field to a depth of 14,000 feet. It will bottom at 15,000 feet in the Marshall, S B Survey, A-13. The well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

    Limestone County

  • The TXU Mining Co. Well No. 4 and the TXU Mining Co. Unit "A" Well No. 3 will be drilled by Approach Operating LLC in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The No. 4 well will be drilled 7.7 miles northwest of Bald Prairie. The No. 3 will be drilled 7.9 miles northwest of Bald Prairie. The wells will bottom at 12,600 feet in the Ellis, W L Survey, A-182.

  • XTO Energy Inc. will drill the Tumlinson "A" No.1 Gas Unit Well No. 8, the Tumlinson "A" No. 1 Gas Unit Well No. 9 and the Tumlinson "A" No. 1 Gas Unit Well No..10 to a depth of 14,500 feet. The No. 8 will be located 16.6 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. This well may also be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field. The No. 9 and the No. 10 will be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field. The No. 9 will be drilled 16.3 miles southeast of Groesbeck. The No. 10 will be drilled 16.2 miles southeast of Groesbeck. These two wells may also be drilled in the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field or the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. All three wells will lie in the Rejon, M C Survey, A-26.

  • The Goldbeck Gas Unit Well No. 5 and the Sand Branch Gas Unit Well No. 10 will be drilled in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field by XTO Energy Inc. The No. 5 will be located 12.8 miles southeast of Thornton. The No. 10 will be located 11.8 miles southeast of Thornton. Both wells will bottom at 14,300 feet in the Rejon, M C Survey, A-26. These wells may also be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field.

  • The Jones "J" Gas Unit Well No. 3 and the Fortson Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled by XTO Energy Inc. in the Personville, North (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The Jones "J" Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be located 8.9 miles northeast of Groesbeck in the Varela, A Survey, A-29. Total depth will be 12,000 feet. The Fortson Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be located 10.5 miles northeast of Groesbeck in the John C. Mc Daniel Survey, A-365. Total depth will be 12,100 feet.

  • Marion County

    The Montgomery Unit Well No. 2 will be drilled in the Lassater (Cotton Valley) Field by Devon Energy Production Company, LP. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Fowler, R B Survey, A-134 38 miles northwest of Carthage.

    Nacogdoches County

  • In a lease 10.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field, the Black Stone-Pruitt GU 1 Well No. 3 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star LLC. This well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros. Survey, A-21. It may also be drilled in the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field, the Trawick (Pettit) Field, the Miyagi (Pettit) Field, a wildcat field or the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field.

  • The Cindy Sue GU 1 Well No. 5 will be drilled nine miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field. The well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros. Survey, A-21. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field, the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field or the Miyagi (Pettit) Field.

  • Navarro County

    The Hill Well No. 1 will be drilled six miles southeast of Corsicana in the Corsicana (Shallow) Field. This well will bottom at 3,000 feet in the Smith, J Survey, A-726 by Activa Resources, LLC.

    Panola County

  • The L.D. Cross Well No. 2 will be located 6.5 miles southwest of Tatum in a wildcat field. It will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Camp, J B Survey, A-149. Goodrich Petroleum Co. may also drill the well in the Beckville (Travis Peak) Field or the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • In a lease 8.6 miles southeast of Carthage, in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field, the Williams-Wall Gas Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled by Anadarko E&P Co. LP. It will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Bowling, J Survey, A-50.

  • St. Mary Land & Exploration Co. will drill the Headrick Well No. 2 at a location 4.9 miles southeast of DeBerry in the English, W Survey, A-194. It will bottom at 12,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Centennial, East (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Robertson County

    The Pauline Johnson Unit Well No. 11 will be drilled 5.4 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc. will drill the well to a depth of 16,500 feet in the Goodloe, R K Survey, A-156.

    Rusk County

  • The Little Estate Well No. 2 will be drilled 4.7 miles southwest of Pinehill in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will bottom at 12,000 feet in the Morris, I Survey, A-541 by NFR Energy LLC. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Lime) Field.

  • Enduring Resources LLC will drill the Birdwell Gas Unit Well No. 12 in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. It will bottom at 11,500 feet in the Birdwell, A Survey, A-107 3.2 miles northwest of Minden. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Chinn Exploration Co. is preparing to drill the Oak Hill G.U. 1 Well No. 6 and the Oak Hill G.U. 1 Well No. 7 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 11,250 feet. The No. 6 will be located 20.6 miles east of Henderson and the No. 7 will be located 20.8 miles east of Henderson. The wells will lie in the Freeman, T Survey, A-283.

  • In a lease 4.1 miles southeast of Henderson, in a wildcat field, the Robert Youngblood GU Well No. 7 will be drilled by Goodrich Petroleum Co. This well will bottom at 13,000 feet in the Mc Daniel, R L Survey, A-588. This well may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Markey Gas Unit Well No. 1 will be drilled 6.45 miles northeast of Mt. Enterprise in a wildcat field. This well will be drilled to a depth of 9,500 feet by EnerVest Operating LLC in the Bates, J Survey, A-120. It may also be drilled in the Shiloh (Ferry Lake) Field, the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • The Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field will see the David Brown Gas Unit 1 Well No. 5 drilled by Sandridge Onshore, LLC. It will be located 5.9 miles southeast of Henderson in the Peck, S R Survey, A-620. It will bottom at 12,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Lime) Field, a wildcat field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Danmark Energy Services, Inc. will drill the Hemby, T.G. Well No. 5 and the Hemby, T.G. Well No. 7 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field. The wells will bottom at 11,000 feet in the Martin, D Survey, A-526. Location will be 2.61 miles south of Tatum.

  • In a lease 4.5 miles southwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field, the Lake Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 9 will be drilled by Forest Oil Corp. The well will lie in the Brown, R Survey, A-102. Total depth will be 11,500-feet.

  • The Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 9 and the Alexander Heirs Gas Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled by Forest Oil Corp. in the Henderson, East (Cotton Valley) Field. They will bottom at 11,500 feet in the Pena, M V Survey, A-27. The No. 9 will be located 5.5 miles southwest of Henderson. The No. 13 will be located 5.6 miles southwest of Henderson.

  • San Augustine County

    The Vastar Mineral Gas Unit 4 Well No. 5H will be drilled by Hunt Petroleum Corp. in the Huxley (6100) Field. This well will bottom at 7,700 feet in the HT&B RR Co./Blount, E A Survey, A-533.

    Shelby County

  • The Buckner-Smith Well No. 1H will be located 1.1 miles northeast of Neuville in the Huxley (6100) Field. This well will bottom at 7,100 feet in the Tutt, C Survey, A-726, drilled by Hunt Petroleum Corp.

  • Classic Operating Co. LLC will drill the Pickering Lumber Co. C Well No. 5 in the Joaquin (Travis Peak) Field. This well will bottom at 10,000 feet in the Books, H L Survey, A-68. This well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Upshur County

    In a lease 8.55 miles east of Gilmer in a wildcat field, the Coleman, Tarter Well No. 1 will be drilled by Maximus Operating Ltd. It will bottom at 12,500 feet in the Goy, J B Survey, A-168. This well may also be drilled in the Cedar Springs (Maddox 10730) Field or the Cedar Springs (Cotton Valley, Lower) Field.

    COMPLETIONS

    Anderson County

    JLA Resources Co. has completed three wells in the Anwac Field four miles east of Elkhart. The Temple Inland Well No. 38 bottoms at 1,100 feet and flowed with nine barrels of crude per day, no choke size recorded. The Temple Inland Well No. 37 bottoms at 1,410 feet and flowed with 17 barrels of crude per day, no choke size recorded. The Temple Inland Well No. 36 bottoms at 1,400 feet and flowed with 23 barrels of crude per day, no choke size recorded. Production is in the Wilcox 900 formation.

    Cherokee County

  • The Hauserman Well No. 1 was completed by Chesapeake Operating Inc. in the Decker Switch Field. It bottoms at 12,215 feet, 4.9 miles northwest of Forest. It potentialed 2.470 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Pettit formation.

  • The Overton Field has seen the Afton Thrash Unit 1 Well No. 14 completed to a depth of 11,250 feet by Southwestern Energy Production Co. Location is 2.5 miles northeast of Mixon. On a 26/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.704 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

  • When gauged on a 36/64-inch choke, the Rube Sessions Well No. 5 potentialed 9.177 million cubic feet of gas per day. Location is 2.6 miles northeast of Wells in the Doyle Creek Field. Southwestern Energy Production Co. completed it to a depth of 11,806 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • XTO Energy Inc. has completed the Doyle Creek Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 1 in the Doyle Creek Field. Location is 6.40 miles east of Alto with a depth of 12,248 feet. When gauged on a 14/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.014 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Freestone County

    XTO Energy Inc. has completed the Ham Gas Unit Well No. 14, the Cosson Gas Unit Well No. 12 and the Ham Gas Unit Well No. 19 in the Teague Field. The No. 14 well is located 3.7 miles southeast of Teague with a depth of 11,790 feet. It potentialed 2.065 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 20/64-inch choke. The No. 12 well is located 4.50 miles southeast of Teague with a depth of 12,570 feet. It potentialed 664,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. The No. 19 is located four miles east of Teague with a depth of 11,743 feet. It potentialed 3.630 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated formation.

    Harrison County

  • Forest Oil Corp. has completed the Gracie Bell CV Gas Unit Well No. 3, the Osborne Heirs Well No. 1 and the Beatrice Key Gas Unit Well No. 6. The No. 1 and the No. 3 are completed in the Hardwood Field. The No. 3 is located nine miles southeast of Marshall with a depth of 10,336 feet. It potentialed 1.081 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 26/64-inch choke. The No. 1 is located 11 miles southeast of Marshall with a depth of 10,264 feet. It potentialed 685,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 26/64-inch choke. The No. 6 is located 3.84 miles northwest of Karnack in the Woodlawn Field with a depth of 9,878 feet. It potentialed 883,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the Wilson Gas Unit 1 Well No. 04 potentialed 584,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is located 4.9 miles southeast of Longview in the Oak Hill Field. NFR Energy LLC completed the well to a depth of 10,985 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • GMX Resources Inc. completed the Mercer Well No. 1 and the Ella Nolte Well No. 10 in the Carthage, North Field. The No. 1 is located 11.5 miles southeast of Marshall with a depth of 9,921 feet. It potentialed 988,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 30/64-inch choke. The No. 10 is located 11 miles southeast of Marshall with a depth of 9,960 feet. It potentialed 1.494 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 30/964-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • When gauged on a 24/64-inch choke, the Pepper Gas Unit 1 Well No. 6 potentialed 527,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Forest Oil Corp. completed the well to a depth of 10,605 feet in the Blocker Field. Location is 3.1 miles southwest of Marshall.

  • The Vann McElroy Gas Unit Well No. 2 is located 5.3 miles east of Hallsville in the Hallsville, Northeast Field. This well was completed by SandRidge Exploration and Production LLC to a depth of 10,468 feet. On a 28/64-inch choke, it potentialed 1.604 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • GMX Resources Inc. completed four wells. The Callison Well No. 13D is located 11 miles southeast of Marshall in the Carthage, North Field with a depth of 10,100 feet. It potentialed 1.311 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 34/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.
