Overton Continues 20th Annual Music Festival Today

Overton citizens continue celebrating their 20th annual Bluegrass & Gospel Music Festival today in City Park.
The event features performances and music workshops and is recognized throughout Texas for the quality of its entertainment, according to Don Eaves, festival committee chairman.

The lineup includes Marty Raybon & Full Circle, The Kenny & Amanda Smith Band, Audie Blaylock & Redline, Randy Kohrs & the Lites, David Davis & the Warrior River Boys, Pine Mountain Railroad and The Special Consensus, as well as popular Texas bands Hickory Hill, Bowles Creek, The Perry Family and Pick’n Grass.
Concert hours are noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Ticket prices are $20 today.

Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult with a ticket.
Student tickets are half price.
The festival will also feature arts and crafts, children’s activities, and workshops on guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, bass and harmony singing.

Food and drink concessions will be available, sponsored by community organizations.
Workshop attendance is free to those who have festival tickets.
