June 8: Want Real Person
REPLY: In response to Shirley Wheeler's letter regarding the automated phone system. There is a Web site called www.gethuman.com. Just type in any company name and the site gives instructions how to bypass the automated system and go directly to a human being.
While there is no guarantee that the person will speak clear English or know the answer you are seeking, I have found that I have a far easier time getting my point across to an actual person than to the automated system.
It's worth a try anyway.
