June 8: Pay Attention
RESPONSE: I have a lawyer friend who has known Judge Cynthia Stevens Kent for a long time, and he has a great deal of respect for her. From what I have heard her say on television and what I have read about her, I'm inclined to agree. She seems to be a sound-thinking, level-headed person.
Last night on TV, I heard her give the perfect solution to this "jail problem," more court facilities. Yet, in the paper this morning I read, "Commissioners Rule Out New Court Facilities."
Commissioners, I suspect Judge Kent is smarter and wiser than all of you put together - any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. It would behoove you to listen to her. Please do.
