Graduations Held For Area Students
  • Ashley Renee’ Giddens, daughter of Ray and Joslyn Giddens of Tyler, graduated May 27th from Sam Houston State University with a B.S.E. Degree in Kinesiology. Ashley was also named to the Dean’s List for the Spring Semester.

  • Tyler resident Jerrad Howard was among 311 students receiving degrees this spring from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

    • Howard received a degree in political science.

  • Two area students have graduated from Dallas Baptist University during the spring commencement.

    • Brandon Duffie Monroe, of Dallas, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree. He is the son of Duffie and Deborah Monroe, of Tyler.

    Christi C. Wyatt, of Tyler, graduated with a bachelor of arts and sciences degree. She is married o J.D. Zimmerman and is mother to Jordan. She is the daughter of Diane Walter, of Waco, and the late Gary Walter.

  • Three Tyler residents graduated from Tulane University on May 17 in New Orleans.

    • Margrit Morrow, Henry Schreiber IV and Donald Madlock Jr. all received degrees.

  • Texas State University-San Marcos announced four area residents among graduates this spring.

    • Brent F. Bradberry, of Flint, received a bachelor’s degree in geography-urban and regional planning.

    Matthew J. Sligh, of Tyler, received a bachelor’s degree in health and fitness management.

    Jana M. Lee, of Tyler, received a master’s degree in healthcare administration.

    Dennis N Noble, of Whitehouse, received a bachelor’s degree in political science.
