XTO To Drill Chronister Wells In Cherokee

XTO Energy Inc. will drill the Chronister Heirs Well No. 34 and the Chronister Heirs Well No. 32 in the Doyle Creek (Travis Peak) Field. Total depth of both wells will be 12,800 feet in the Durst, J Survey, A-15. The No. 34 will be drilled 7.7 miles southeast of Alto and the No. 32 will be drilled eight miles southeast of Alto. These wells may also be drilled in the Doyle Creek (Pettit) Field.
Angelina County
The Estes Well No. 2H will be drilled four miles northeast of Wells in the Loco Bayou (James Lime) Field. It will bottom at 13,500 feet, drilled by Goodrich Petroleum Co., and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.
Freestone County
The Worthy "A" Unit Well No. 5 will be drilled by Anadarko Petroleum Corp. in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. The well will be located 2.1 miles south of Donie in the Connelly, I Survey, A-117 and will bottom at 15,000 feet. It may also be drilled in the Bear Grass (Travis Peak) Field.
Harrison County
The Gulley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 16, the Gulley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 17, the Gulley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 18, the Gulley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 19 and the Gulley Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 20 will be drilled 3.1 miles northeast of Crossroads in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. Penn Virginia Oil & Gas LP will drill the wells to 14,000 feet in the Cellum, J Survey, A-145.

The Timberstar-Tartt Well No. 2H will be drilled by Southwestern Energy Production Co. This well will be located 1.6 miles north of Attoyac in the Angie (James Lime) Field with a depth of 7,700 feet.
