MT. PLEASANT, Mich. — UT Tyler pitchers Blake Booher and Brett Holland were named All-Americans by the American Baseball Coaches Association last Friday.
Booher, a junior from Hurst who went 11-1 with a 2.06 ERA, was named to the second team. Holland, a junior from Lindale, earned third-team honors after posting an 11-0 record and a 2.76 ERA.
He also finished the regular season third in the nation in strikeouts with 113.

The duo is the first Patriots selected to the All-American team. Both pitchers, along with infielder Clay Baker, were voted All-America by d3baseball.com last week as well.
Baker, a senior from Henderson, hit .401 with 10 home runs and 47 RBIs. He also led the team with 17 stolen bases.
The Patriots finished the season 36-9 and captured their third ASC East Division title in four years.
