Three Drillers Complete Four Smith County Wells

COMPLETIONS
Smith County

  • Southwestern Energy has completed the JR Odom GU 1 Well No. 17 to a depth of 12,517 feet in the Overton Field. This well potentialed 3.809 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Location is 0.8 miles southwest of Troup. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

  • On a 1.75-inch choke, the McDonald GU Well No. 2H potentialed 5.249 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well was completed by Wagner & Brown to a depth of 14,424 feet. Location is 1.5 miles southwest of Swinneytown in the Overton Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

  • EXCO Partners Operating has completed the Green Bay Well No. 11 and the Overton, N.E. Well No. 6 in the Overton Field. The No. 11 is 13.6 miles east of Tyler with a depth of 9,985 feet. This well potentialed 948,000 cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. The No. 6 is four miles west of Arp with a depth of 11,950 feet. This well potentialed 1.437 million cubic feet of gas per day when gauged on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Sand formation.

  • Angelina County

  • The Ovalls, Lewis Well No. 1 has been completed six miles east of Huntington in the Huntington Field. Bert D. Lindsey has completed this well to a depth of 1,275 feet. It flowed with 3.5 barrels of crude per day, no choke size was recorded.

  • Southwestern Energy has completed the Davis Heirs Well No. 1 in the Red Land, North Field. This well is 8.2 miles northwest of Lufkin with a depth of 11,907 feet. On a 28/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 2.356 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Cherokee County

  • The New Birmingham "B" Gas Unit 1 Well No. 8H is 6.2 miles west of Alton in the White Oak Creek Field. This well was completed to a depth of 9,571 feet by Marathon Oil Co. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.038 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Pettit formation.

  • In a lease two miles northeast of Wells in the Raintree Field, the Sessions, Bob Well No. 5 has been completed by Goodrich Petroleum This well hit 12,380 feet and potentialed 898,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 30/64-inch choke. Production is in the Hosston formation.

  • Freestone County

    In a lease 5.4 miles northeast of Fairfield, in the Crenshaw, F.H. Unit Well No. 17-H has been completed by Devon Energy in the Nan-Su-Gail Field. This well hit 15,332 feet and potentialed 8.948 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

    Harrison County

  • The Furrh Well No. 10 is 5.6 miles southwest of Elysian Field in the Carthage, North Field. Penn Virginia Oil & Gas completed the well to a depth of 10,236 feet. This well potentialed 907,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • PMO has completed the Hudman, B.J. Well No. 8H to a depth of 12,961 feet in the Oak Hill Field. This well is 18.8 miles southwest of Marshall. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 3.988 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the Furr GU 3 Well No. 14 potentialed 868,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well hit 10,226 feet 6.4 miles west of Elysian in the Carthage, North Field. This well was completed by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Cole Well No. 3 and the Wilson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 have been completed in the Oak Hill Field by NFR Energy. The No. 3 is 5.2 miles southeast of Longview with a depth of 10,935 feet. This well potentialed 1.112 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. The No. 5 is 4.9 miles southeast of Longview with a depth of 10,990 feet. This well potentialed 752,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has completed the Deady Well No. 6 in the Woodlawn, Southwest Field. This well is 7.3 miles southwest of Marshall with a depth of 10,634 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke it potentialed 974,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

  • On a 24/64-inch choke, the Beatrice Key Gas Unit Well No. 2 potentialed 751,000 cubic feet of gas per day. This well is 4.2 miles northwest of Karnack in the Woodlawn Field. This well hit 9,950 feet drilled by Forest Oil Corp. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Faron Cain Gas Unit Well No. 12 is 4.6 miles southeast of Hallsville in the Oak Hill Field. Sand Ridge Exploration and Production completed the well to 10,725 feet. Gauged on a 27/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.897 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Leon County

  • The AG Hill Gas Unit 1 Well No. 3 is 2.5 miles northeast of Jewett in the Jewett Field. EnSight III Energy Management completed the well to 11,906 feet. On a 10/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.416 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • On a 16/64-inch choke, the Ellison Gas Unit Well No. 1 potentialed 816,000 cubic feet of gas per day. It is three miles northwest of Jewett in the Bear Grass Field. BRG Lone Star drilled the well to 10,400 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Roberts & Hammack completed the Frison "A" Well No. 1 in the Red Oak Field. This well hit 6,710 feet one mile east of Buffalo. On a 16/64-inch choke, it potentialed 1.442 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Dexter formation.

  • Limestone County

  • In a lease eight miles northwest of Bald Prairie in the Bald Prairie Field, the Childrens Home Well No. 1 has been completed by Approach Operating. This well hit 11,368 feet and potentialed 1.000 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Approach Operating has completed the TXU Mining Company Unit "B" Well No. 1 and the TXU Mining Company Unit "A" Well No. 1 in the Bald Prairie Field. The TXU Mining Company Unit "B" Well No. 1 is 6.7 miles northwest of Bald Prairie with a depth of 12,130 feet. This well potentialed 2.300 million cubic feet of gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. The TXU Mining Company Unit "A" Well No. 1 is 8.2 miles northwest of Bald Prairie with a depth of 11,755 feet. This well potentialed 2.509 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 32/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • On a 24/64-inch choke, the TXU Mining Company North Well No. 2 potentialed 1.504 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well was completed to a depth of 12,008 feet by Approach Operating and is 8.3 miles northwest of Bald Prairie in the Bald Prairie Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Marion County

    Winchester Production completed the Stiles Trust Well No. 1 in a wildcat field. This well is one mile west of Gray with a depth of 9,844 feet. On a 16/64-inch choke, the well flowed with 426 barrels of crude.

    Nacogdoches County

  • The Tubbe Well No. 1 potentialed 1.100 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. This well was completed to a depth of 11,543 feet by Goodrich Petroleum. Location is 8.9 miles southeast of Nacogdoches in the Gates Field. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Douglass, West Field has seen the Koonce, Tessie C. Well No. 7 and the Schwiem Well No. 7 completed by Comstock Oil & Gas. The Koonce, Tessie C. Well No. 7 is .4 miles northwest of Douglas with a depth of 10,350 feet. On a 14/64-inch choke it potentialed 972,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The Schwiem Well No. 7 is one mile southwest of Douglas with a depth of 10,396 feet. This well potentialed 134,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 19/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Samson Lone Star has completed six new wells in the Douglass, West Field. The Stewart, Graham P. Well No. 18 is 11 miles west of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,480 feet. This well potentialed 1.560 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. The Jenny Beth GU 1 Well No. 4 is 10.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,412 feet. On a 21/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.322 million cubic feet of gas per day. The Roland Dennis GU 1 Well No. 1 is 13 miles northwest of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,770 feet. This well potentialed 2.499 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 25/64-inch choke. The John Ross GU 1 Well No. 5 is 12.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,395 feet. This well potentialed 2.803 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 21/64-inch choke. The Rita Rae GU 1 Well No. 4 is 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,538 feet. This well potentialed 3.678 million cubic feet of gas per day on a 17/64-inch choke. The Weaver GU 1 Well No. 6 is eight miles northwest of Nacogdoches with a depth of 10,412 feet. On a 28/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.270 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • On an 18/64-inch choke, the Blackstone Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 1 potentialed 779,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well is 14.2 miles west of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West Field. XTO Energy completed the well to a depth of 11,726 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • The Mast Gas Unit A Well No. 1 is 9.81 miles northeast of Nacogdoches in the Hilltop Resort. EnCana Oil & Gas (USA) has completed the well to a depth of 16,916 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 2.075 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Bossier formation.

  • In a lease four miles southeast of Cushing, in a wildcat field, the Trawick Gas Unit 1 Well No. 101 has been completed by Cabot Oil & Gas.. This well bottoms at 12,414 feet. On a 12/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 816,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

  • Navarro County

    The Bennett, Tom Well No. 1 has been completed six miles south of Corsicana in the Corsicana Field. B&J Oil Co. completed the well to a depth of 2,000 feet. No test data was recorded. Production is in the Shallow formation.

    Panola County

  • Devon Energy has completed three wells in the Carthage Field. The Brannon Well No. 11-H is 7.8 miles southwest of Carthage with a depth of 13,273 feet. This well potentialed 1.879 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. The Hudson-Johnson Unit Well No. 23-U is 3.7 miles north of Carthage with a depth of 9,660 feet. On an adjustable choke, this well potentialed 185,000 cubic feet of gas per day. The Hull Unit A Well No. A-101 is 3.6 miles southeast of Carthage with a depth of 9,423 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 863,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On an adjustable choke, the CGU 28 Well No. 13 potentialed 1.240 million cubic feet of gas per day. Anadarko E&P completed the well 7.5 miles southwest of Carthage with a depth of 9,946 feet in the Carthage Field. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Payne Well No. 10 is five miles southwest of DeBerry in the Carthage, North Field. Samson Lone Star completed the well to a depth of 9,890 feet. On a 24/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 735,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Billy Jack Sealey Well No. 1 is 13.2 miles west of Tatum in the Beckville Field. Goodrich Petroleum has completed the well to a depth of 10,244 feet. On a 15/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.800 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Carthage Field has seen the C.I. Bell Gas Unit 1 Well No. 4 completed 6.2 miles west of Tatum by Chesapeake Operating. The well bottoms at 10,341 feet and potentialed 622,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Taylor-Cotton Valley formation.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas has completed the Roberts, J.F. Well No. 2 in the Carthage, North Field. This well bottoms at 10,191 feet, no location was recorded. On a 22/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 840,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Holland Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2-C and the Holland Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 2-T have been completed 1.9 miles southeast of Fairplay in the Carthage Field by Craton Energy Holdings. The No. 2-C potentialed 326,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 48/64-inch choke. Total depth is 10,070 feet. Production is in the Travis Peak formation. The No. 2-T potentialed 817,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 28/64-inch choke. Total depth is 10,070 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On a 24/64-inch choke, the Peter 2 Unit Well No. 10 potentialed 1.812 million cubic feet of gas per day. This well was completed to a depth of 9,500 feet in the Carthage Field by ConocoPhillips Co. This well is seven miles southeast of Carthage. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Robertson County

  • The McCormick Well No. 1 is 2.7 miles east of Franklin in a wildcat field. This well hit at 16,525 feet drilled by Chesapeake Operating. On a 14/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.474 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

  • Coronado Energy E&P has completed the Blair, John Well No. 15 in the Bald Prairie Field. This well is 12 miles northeast of Franklin with a depth of 12,660 feet. On a 21/64-inch choke it potentialed 3.749 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • On a 28/64-inch choke, the Blair, John Well No. 26 potentialed 2.777 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Coronado Energy E&P completed the well 12.8 miles northeast of Franklin in the Bald Prairie Field. Total depth is 13,334 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • Rusk County

  • The Oak Hill Field has seen the Jameson, Angus Well No. 5 completed by Comstock Oil & Gas. This well is 3.3 miles southwest of Tatum with a depth of 10,719 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Kangerga, Michael Gas Unit Well No. 2 has been completed by BP America Production in the Oak Hill Field. This well hit 10,535 feet, no location recorded. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.144 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Enduring Resources has completed the Birdwell Well No. 2 and the Green Gas Unit 1 Well No. 4. The No. 2 is 2.1 miles northwest of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast Field with a depth of 10,850 feet. This well potentialed 2.395 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation. The No. 4 is three miles west of Minden in the Minden Field with a depth of 11,050 feet. This well potentialed 1.354 million cubic feet of gas per day on an adjustable choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley Consolidated formation.

  • The Minor, A Gas Unit Well No. 11 and the Williamson Unit Well No. 10 have been completed in the Oak Hill Field by Energen Resources. The No. 11 has been drilled in a lease four miles northwest of Tatum to a depth of 10,758 feet. On an 18/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 1.877 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 10 has been drilled in a lease 2.7 miles northwest of Tatum to a depth of 10,727 feet. On a 35/64-inch choke, the well potentialed 487,000 cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Tufco Gas Unit 1 Well No. 4 is 1.7 miles northwest of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast Field. Enduring Resources has completed the well to a depth of 10,825 feet. On an adjustable choke it potentialed 729,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation

  • NFR Energy has completed the Jones Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 3 and the Gilson Well No. 4. The No. 3 is 0.9 miles from Henderson in the Oak Hill Field with a depth of 10,990 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.548 million cubic feet of gas per day. The No. 4 is 3.3 miles southwest of Henderson in the Henderson, East Field with a depth of 10,860 feet. Gauged on a 23/64-inch choke it potentialed 1.795 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On a 21/64-inch choke, the Hutchings, J. Unit Well No. 16 potentialed 1.454 million cubic feet of gas per day. This well was completed four miles northwest of Tatum in the Oak Hill Field by Energen Resources. This well bottoms at 10,719 feet. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • Shelby County

  • The Arco G.U. 1 Well No. 4 is 1.8 miles northeast of Stockman in the Stockman Field. This well was drilled by Finley Resources. Total depth is 8,800 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 60,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

  • In a lease 6.6 miles southeast of Center in the Oliver Creek Field, the Sherman Well No. 4 has been completed by Noble Energy. This well bottoms at 10,193 feet and potentialed 770,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 19/64-inch choke. Production is in the Travis Peak formation.

  • Ellora Operating has completed the Corbett Well No. 4FH, the Allen Well No. 8FV and the Applequist Unit Well No. 1H in the Huxley Field. The No. 4FH is 18 miles east of Center with a depth of 5,470 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke it flowed with three barrels of crude per day. The No. 8FV is 0.8 miles northeast of Huxley with a depth of 3,594 feet. On a 20/64-inch choke it flowed with eight barrels of crude per day. Production is in the Fredericksburg formation. The No. 1H located 1.9 miles northeast of Dreka with a depth of 14,043 feet. On a 26/64-inch choke it potentialed 2.797 million cubic feet of gas per day. Production is in the 6100 formation.

  • The Hardin-Simmons Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 6 is 2.5 miles southwest of Joaquin in the Carthage Field. This well was completed to a depth of 9,947 feet and potentialed 207,000 cubic feet of gas per day on a 24/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • The Carthage Field has seen the Whiddon, O. C. Gas Unit Well No. 1 and the Alice W. Johnson Well No. 2 completed by KCS Resources. The No. 1 is 1.5 miles northwest of Joaquin and bottoms at 9,900 feet. This well potentialed 302,000 cubic feet of natural gas per day on an 18/64-inch choke. This well will be combined with the Joaquin (Travis Peak) Field, but production is in the Cotton Valley formation. The No. 2 is within city limits of Joaquin and bottoms at 9,860 feet. This well potentialed 2.566 million cubic feet of natural gas per day on a 22/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.

  • On a 48/64-inch choke, the Franke Well No. 1H potentialed 1.200 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. This well was completed 5.7 miles southeast of Center in the Huxley Field by St. Mary Land & Exploration. This well bottoms at 12,740 feet. Production is in the 6100 formation.

  • The Adams Well No. 5 is 10.3 miles northeast of Garrison in the Stockman Field. Devon Energy Production completed the well to a depth of 12,273 feet. On an adjustable choke, the well potentialed 1.195 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Production is in the Cotton Valley formation.


  • DEVELOPMENTAL
    Anderson County

    Carrizo Oil & Gas will drill five new wells in the Camp Hill Field. The wells are designated Royal Well No. 127, No. 125, No. 171 and No. 161. These wells will hit 600 feet 4.6 miles northeast of Elkhart in the Rogers, M Survey, A-883.

    Angelina County

    The J.W. Sessions Heirs Well No. 20H will be drilled by Southwestern Energy in the Loc Bayou (James Lime) Field. This well will hit 10,000 feet in the Durst, J Survey, A-703, 3.8 miles northeast of Wells. They may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

    Cherokee County

    A wildcat field will see the Coon Creek Well No. 2 drilled by Cordillera Texas. It is 10.1 miles northeast of Rusk in the Widgeon, CL Survey, A-938, and will hit 9,000 feet.

    Freestone County

  • XTO Energy will drill the Clarke Gas Unit Well No. 26 to a depth of 12,940 feet 6.1 miles southeast of Teague in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field in the Mc Annulty, J Survey, A-409.

  • XTO Energy will drill the John Henderson Gas Unit Well No. 4 and the Boyd "A" Gas Unit Well No. 8 in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier Consolidated) Field. The No. 4 is four miles northeast of Teague in the King, M Survey, A-354 with a depth of 13,300 feet. The No. 8 is 4.1 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Caradine, I Survey, A-116 with a depth of 12,900 feet.

  • In a lease 4.3 miles northwest of Oakwood, in the Dowdy Ranch (Cotton Valley) Field, the Dynegy "C" Well No. 3 will be drilled by Anadarko Petroleum. This well will hit 16,400 feet in the Lyon, JM Survey, A-19.

  • The Bailey Gas Unit "A" Well No. 15 will be drilled 0.4 miles southwest of Donie in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. XTO Energy will drill the well to 14,800 feet in the Peck, N Survey, A-820. It may also be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field.

  • Harrison County

  • The Harris Well No. 2 will be drilled 5.8 miles southeast from Marshall in a wildcat field. Andrew Alan Exploration will drill the well to a depth of 12,000 feet in the Hall, H Survey, A-10. It may also be drilled in the Blocker (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • In a lease 10.5 miles southeast of Marshall, in a wildcat field, the Bartley Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy to 12,100 feet in the Monday, S Survey, A-14. The well may also be drilled in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field, the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field or the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • NFR Energy will drill the Wedgeworth Well No. 2 in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 11,000 feet. This well is five miles southeast of Hallsville in the Watson, W Survey, A-748.

  • The Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Narramore Well No. 12 drilled by Winchester Production Company. This well is 1.2 miles northeast of Jonesville in the Dunn, JC Survey, A-215 and will hit 9,800 feet.

  • Four new wells will be drilled to 13,000 feet by Penn Virginia Oil & Gas in the Woodlawn, Southwest (Cotton Valley) Field. The Devon Gas Unit Well No. 3 is 7.6 miles northwest of Marshall; No. 4 is 7.4 miles northwest of Marshall; No. 5 and No. 6 will be drilled 7.1 miles northwest of Marshall. All four wells will lie in the Gillet, C Survey, A-9.

  • GMX Resources will drill the Blocker Heirs Well No. 19 in the Carthage, North (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will hit 11,800 feet eight miles southeast of Marshall in the Ussury, MS Survey, A-722. It may also be drilled in the Bethany (Pettit 6170) Field, a wildcat field or the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Penn Virginia Oil & Gas will drill the Devon Gas Unit Well No. 7, the Brown Well No. 8H and the Brown Gas Unit Well No. 6H to a depth of 13,000 feet. The No. 7 is 7.1 miles northwest of Marshall in the Woodlawn, Southwest (Cotton Valley) Field. The well will lie in the Gillet, C Survey, A-9. The No. 8H is 11.5 miles southeast of Marshall and the No. 6H is 11.6 miles southeast of Marshall. Both of these wells will be drilled in the Carthage, North (Bossier Shale) Field in the Monday, S Survey, A-14. The No. 6H may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • The Brown, L.D. Well No. 1A and the Brown, L.D. Well No. 2A will be drilled in a wildcat field to a depth of 8,500 feet. The No. 1A is 6.1 miles east from Harleton and the No. 2A is 6.2 miles east from Harleton. Both wells will lie in the Denton, JT Survey, A-199 and may also be drilled in the Hallsville, South (Page) Field, the Woodlawn (Rodessa) Field, the Gooch-Gant (Travis Peak) Field or the Hallsville, East (Pettit) Field.

  • The Yates GU 1 Well No. 1 will be drilled 8.5 miles south from Karnack in the Waskom (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will be drilled by Samson Lone Star to 13,000 feet in the Poe, A Survey, A-19. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Hopkins County

    West Mountain Operating will drill the A.K. Gillis Unit Well No. 2 three miles northwest of Sulphur Springs. This well will hit 3,500 feet in the Yates, T Survey, A-1103.

    Houston County

  • In a lease 10.2 miles west of Crockett, in the Sand Branch Creek (Buda) Field, the Bigger-Wright Well No. 1H will be drilled by Petroquest Energy. This well will hit 9,300 feet in the Hart, JR Survey, A-499.

  • XTO Energy will drill the Wall Gas Unit Well No. 1R in the Decker Switch (Travis Peak) Field. This well is 2.9 miles south of Weches in the McLean, D Survey, A-57. Depth will be 13,000 feet and this well may also be drilled in the Decker Switch, Southeast (James Lime) Field, the Decker Switch (Woodbine) Field, the Decker Switch (Glen Rose) Field or the Decker Switch (Pettit) Field.

  • Leon County

  • The Collins Well No. 1 is 11.4 miles northeast of Centerville in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) Field. It will be drilled by Chesapeake Operating to 20,000 feet in the Rodes, WR Survey, A-732. The well may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • Gastar Exploration Texas will drill the Gastar-Belin Well No.1 in a wildcat field. This well is 7.6 miles southeast of Ridge in the Viesca, JM Survey, A-30. This well will hit 20,000 feet and may also be drilled in the Hilltop Resort (Knowles) Field, the Hilltop Resort (Bossier) Field or the Hilltop Resort (Pettit) Field.

  • The Alabama Ferry (Glenrose D, West) Field will see the V.K. Hill Well No. 3 drilled to 9,600 feet by Sklar Exploration. This well is 7.4 miles east of Centerville in the Winters, JW Survey, A-904.

  • Limestone County

  • The Loftin Creek Gas Unit Well No. 2 will be drilled 10.9 miles southeast of Thornton in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. It will be drilled to 13,800 feet in the Rejon, MC Survey, A-26 by XTO Energy. It may also be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Farrar, Southeast (Pettit) Field.

  • In a lease 8.2 miles northwest of Bald Prairie in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the TXU Mining Company Unit "A" Well No. 2 will be drilled by Approach Operating. This well will hit 12,600 feet in the Ellis, WL Survey, A-182.

  • XTO Energy will drill the Simon "B" Gas Unit Well No. 4 in the Personville, North (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field to 12,000 feet. This well is 10.1 miles northeast of Groesbeck in the Varela, A Survey, A-29.

  • Nacogdoches County

  • Southwestern Energy will drill the Winston Gas Unit Well No. 8 to 12,500 feet in the Pine Flat (Pettit) Field. This well is 10.3 miles north of Lufkin in the Spradley, RV Survey, A-818. It may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Black Bayou (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Kelsey Well No. 1H and the Black Stone-Lock GU 1 Well No. 2 will be drilled by Samson Lone Star. The No. 1H is 3.75 miles south of Nacogdoches in the Esparza, PJ Survey, A-28. Depth will be 10,500 feet in the La Nana Bayou (James Lime) Field. The No. 2 is 11 miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the De Los Santos Coy, M&Bros. Survey, A-21. Total depth will be 12,000 feet in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field. It may be drilled in a wildcat field, the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field, the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field, the Trawick (Pettit) Field or the Miyagi (Pettit) Field.

  • In a lease 2.8 miles southwest from Martinsville in a wildcat field, the Tigers Gas Unit Well No. 3 will be drilled by Fossil Resources to 12,500 feet in the Flores, Hrs. V Survey, A-30 and may also be drilled in the Martinsville (Travis Peak) Field.

  • The Weaver GU 1 Well No. 9 will be drilled nine miles northwest of Nacogdoches in the Douglass, West (Travis Peak) Field by Samson Lone Star. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the De Los Santos Coy, M & Bros. Survey, A-21. This well may also be drilled in the Little Ears (Pettit) Field, a wildcat field, the Miyagi (Pettit) Field or the Nacogdoches, East (James Lime) Field.

  • Marathon Oil Co. will drill the S.F.O.T. Unit Well No. 3H to a depth of 14,500 feet in the Little Ears (Pettit Lime) Field. This well is 0.1 miles west of Nacogdoches in the Pollock, W C Survey, A-449.

  • Panola County

  • The Sharp, Ida Nell Well No. 1 will be drilled 3.4 miles west of Beckville in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field will be drilled to 10,400 feet by Texas American Resources in the Hamilton, W Survey, A-272.

  • In a lease 13.1 miles southwest of Carthage, in a wildcat field, the Tin Inc. Well No. 1 will be drilled by NFR Energy. The well will hit 11,000 feet in the Strickland, M Survey, A-597. It may also be drilled in the Brachfield (Rodessa) Field, the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • Devon Energy will drill the Brumble Unit Well No. 8H in the Bethany, East (Cotton Valley) Field to 13,000 feet in the Mitchusson, EF Survey, A-437. Location is 10.9 miles southwest of Waskom.

  • The Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Roquemore Unit 1 Well No. 17 drilled by Lacy Operations. This well will hit 10,130 feet in the Smith, E Survey, A-601. Location is 0.8 miles southeast of Beckville.

  • In a lease 5.8 miles northeast of Deadwood, in the Carthage (Travis Peak) Field, the Lynch SWD Well No. 4 and the Lynch SWD Well No. 5 will be drilled by Complete Vacuum and Rental. The wells will hit 6,000 feet in the Wolf, H Survey, A-708.

  • Texas America Resources will drill the Glovier Hamilton Unit Well No. 30 to a depth of 10,400 feet in the Gooden, W Survey, A-221. The well it 3.5 miles northwest of Beckville in the Beckville (Cotton Valley) Field.

  • The Beckville, North (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Bell Well No. 2H drilled by Tanos Exploration. The well is 11.6 miles northwest from Carthage in the Duboise, A Sr. Survey, A-160. Total depth will be 10,100-feet.

  • ConocoPhillips will drill the Ashton 2 Unit Well No. 15 in the Carthage (Cotton Valley) Field. The well is 5.9 miles southeast of Carthage in the Ashton, M Survey, A-8. This well will hit 10,100-feet.

  • Maximus Operating will drill the Flanagan Heirs Well No. 2 and the Flanagan Heirs Well No. 3 in a wildcat field. The No. 2 is 1.1 miles southwest of Bethany in the Dunlap, J Survey, A-179. The No. 3 is 1.6 miles southwest of Bethany in the Lawless, T Survey, A-408. The wells will hit 8,200 feet and may also be drilled in the Bethany (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Robertson County

  • XTO Energy will drill the Williams Gas Unit Well No. 1 in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field. This well is 6.1 miles southwest of Franklin in the McMillan, E Survey, A-222. Depth will be 14,750 feet and may also be drilled in a wildcat field.

  • In a lease 5.9 miles northeast of Franklin, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field, the Johnson, Pauline Unit Well No. 13 will be drilled by EnCana Oil & Gas (USA). This well will hit 13,300 feet in the Goodloe, RK Survey, A-156.

  • Burlington Resources O&G will drill the BR 2-14 Ranch Well No. 1 in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field. The well is nine miles southeast of Franklin in the Viesca, JM Survey, A-46. This well will hit 17,000 feet.

  • The BR Stegall Gas Unit Well No. 8 will be drilled 1.1 miles west of Franklin in the Savell (Bossier Sand) Field by Burlington Resources O&G. This well will hit 16,200 feet in the Slauter, F Survey, A-35.

  • Rusk County

  • The Pirtle Well No. 1 will be drilled one mile southwest of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field to a depth of 11,500 feet by Enduring Resources. This well is in the Atkinson, JS Survey, A-60 and may also be drilled in the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Jandar Exploration will drill the Prior Gas Unit Well No. 5, 6.5 miles southeast of Henderson in a wildcat field. The well will hit 7,800 feet in the Chirino, A Survey, A-161. It may also be drilled in the Minden, West (Travis Peak 7660) Field.

  • The Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field will see the Hays Gas Unit Well No. 2 drilled by Enduring Resources. This well is 2.6 miles northwest of Minden in the Birdwell, G Survey, A-108 with a depth of 11,500 feet. This well may be drilled in a wildcat field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • In a lease 5.2 miles southeast of Elderville, in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field, the Delta Gas Unit 1 Well No. 12 will be drilled by Verado Energy. This well will hit 12,000 feet in the Menchaca, FS Survey, A-527.

  • Fidelity Exploration & Production will drill the Kangerga Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 14 is 2.7 miles northeast of Minden in the Brachfield, Southeast (Cotton Valley) Field. The well hit 12,000 feet in the Vansickle, BA Survey, A-796.

  • El Paso E&P will drill the Cobra No. 2 Well No. 4 in a wildcat field. It is seven miles southeast of Henderson in the Horton, AC Survey, A-363. This well will hit 11,200 feet and may be drilled in the Minden (Cotton Valley Consolidated) Field or the Minden (Travis Peak Consolidated) Field.

  • Shelby County

  • David G. Powell, Inc. will drill the Shelby County SWD Well No. 2 in the Timpson (Hairgrove 7090) Field. It is 1.8 miles northwest of Timpson in the Bradley, J & Wife Survey, A-45. Total depth will be 6,500 feet.

  • The Sherman A Well No. 1H is 6.8 miles southeast from Center in a wildcat field and will be drilled to 6,944 feet in the Sherman, FA Survey, A-904 by Noble Energy.

  • In a lease 3.9 miles southwest of Huxley in the Huxley (6100) Field, the Locke Well No. 2H will be drilled by Ellora Operating. This well will hit 7,000 feet in the Latham, J Survey, A-419.

  • The BP Georgetown 885 Well No. 2 will be drilled 9.8 miles southwest of Center in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field by BP America. This well will hit 12,500 feet in the Georgetown Railroad Co. Survey, A-885. It may also be drilled in the Stockman, South (Travis Peak) Field or a wildcat field.

  • Devon Energy will drill the Powdrill Well No. 2 in the Stockman (Cotton Valley) Field. This well will hit 14,000 feet in the Hill, W Survey, A-282. This well is 13.2 miles west of Center and may also be drilled in a wildcat field or the Stockman (Travis Peak) Field.

  • Upshur County

    The D.J. White Gas Unit Well No. 2H will be drilled 4.8 miles southwest of Gilmer in a wildcat field. Branta Production will drill the well to a depth of 12,000 feet in the Benigno Davenport, JB Survey, A-1. This well may be drilled in the Gilmer (Cotton Valley Sands) Field, the Gilmer (Cotton Valley Upper) Field or the Gilmer, South (Cotton Valley) Field.
