Minton To Receive Junior Achievement Business Hall Of Fame Honor
Junior Achievement of Tyler announced longtime Tyler attorney John H. Minton will be inducted into the organization's Business Hall of Fame.
Plans are under way to present Minton with the Hall of Fame honor during a fundraising dinner to benefit Junior Achievement on June 17 at Willow Brook Country Club.
Being selected as the 2008 laureate, Minton will join the Hall of Fame and previous laureates such as Ralph L. Davis, James Cavender, Elmer G. Ellis, Billy Hibbs Sr., A.W. "Dub" Riter Jr., Dr. Jim Vaughn and Isadore Roosth.
Minton's career spans 52 years in Tyler. He is senior partner of counsel in the Potter Minton Law Firm.
JA officials said Minton has been a strong force in the legal community, and his presence has added a lot to the legal landscape.
Seating at the invitation-only, June 17 fundraising dinner and induction ceremony is limited. For sponsorship or reservation information, call Patrick Willis at 903-509-1176.
