UT Tyler’s Jennings Places 44th At NCAA Division III Golf National Championships
BRASELTON, Ga. — UT Tyler’s Brian Jennings, a junior from Bullard, shot a 78 for the third consecutive day at the NCAA Division III Golf National Championships to finish 44th.

The four-day tournament was held at Chateau Elan Resort.

Jennings opened the event with a 73 before three straight 78s put him at 23-over 307 overall.

He finished 22 strokes behind individual national champion Scott Harris Jr. of St. John Fisher College.

The team event was won by St. John’s (Minn.), which topped the event for the second straight year. Mary Hardin-Baylor finished 10th.

Jennings became the first-ever Patriot golfer to compete for a national championship. Jennings’ finish was well within the top 50 percent of the 120-golfer field.
