North American Indian Cultural Association of Texas Picnic Today East Of Lindale
North American Indian Cultural Association of Texas is scheduled to meet at 2 p.m. today for a picnic at the home of Mary Jones Ziegler.
All interested in native culture are invited to participate, NAICAT spokesperson Wanda Barber said.
Members will share ideas on meetings, trips and festivals, including the memorial ceremony for Chief Bowles and the Battle of the Neches set for July 12 in Van Zandt County, Mrs. Barber said.
To attend Saturday's meeting, go two miles east of Lindale on Texas Highway 16, then north on Legion Hills Road for one mile; turn west onto the private road next to the American Legion property. For information, call 903-882-6277 or 903-566-4211.
