Juillerat Has Three Texas Junior Golf Tour Top 10s

The inaugural Tyler Rose Junior Invitational Golf Tournament is this weekend and Tyler’s Jeffrey Juillerat will be competing.

The tournament, which is part of the Texas Junior Golf Tour, is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club in Bullard.

The 36-hole event is sponsored by SPORTyler, the Tyler Morning Telegraph and HealthFirst.

More than 100 golfers will be taking part.

Juillerat, a junior at Grace Community School, has three top 10 finishes on the TJGT, including a runner-up spot at the Houston High School District Preview on Oct. 20-21 at Raven Nest Golf Club in Huntsville.

He also placed eighth at the Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 24-25 on The Oaks Course at The Woodlands and the Castle Hills Shootout Jan. 26-27 at The Golf Club at Castle Hills in Lewisville.

The Tyler Rose Junior tournament offers exemptions into the American Junior Golf Association tournaments and it is a Golfweek ranked-event.

The (TJGT) was founded in 1989 in Austin when several Austin High School golf coaches and parents realized a need for a higher level competition during the fall and winter season that would supplement high school golf along with regional PGA events and provide more national exposure to collegiate golf programs.

The TJGT started with just eight tournaments and has since expanded to include more than 40 events.
