Jeremy McEuen Withdraws From Whitehouse Mayor's Race
WHITEHOUSE — The city of Whitehouse mayoral voting will take place Saturday, but it takes two to have a race.

Candidate Jeremy McEuen, effectively withdrew his candidacy Friday afternoon and said voters should support Danny Hogden because he (McEuen), would be unable to serve as mayor if elected.

McEuen contacted city secretary Stefani Wright around 2 p.m. Friday and said he had taken on another job and would be unable to serve effectively as mayor. A letter was drafted and signed by McEuen asking for voters to support candidate Danny Hogden for mayor.
