GOP Candidates In Forum Tonight
Candidates for statewide Republican Party offices will take part in a forum starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight held by the Smith County Republican Club.
Chairman Tina Benkiser and Vice Chairman Robin Armstrong are running unopposed for re-election, but they’ll attend tonight’s event, as will Texas Republican National Committeeman Bill Crocker.
The post of Texas National Committeewoman is being sought by Cathie Adams and Borah Van Dormolen, both of whom will attend.
The forum will take place at Heartland Ham Company, 3400 A S. Broadway Ave.

Also today, Ms. Benkiser will be at the Smith County Republican Party Headquarters, 3923 S. Broadway Ave., to hold a press conference on private property rights. She’ll be joined by state Sen. Kevin Eltife, R-Tyler, and state Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler.
