Clinics Present Annual Dia De Las Madres
Dia de las Madres, a day of medical screenings targeting Hispanic women in the Tyler area, will be from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 8 at Bethesda Health Clinic, 409 W. Ferguson.

The medical screenings include Pap smears, mammograms, glucose and cholesterol tests and children's dental screenings.

In 2007, about 1,000 women participated and received 186 Pap smears, 48 mammograms, 94 HIV tests, 350 glucose screenings and 93 cholesterol screenings. Officials anticipate they can provide these services to some 1,100 women this year.

Women participating will receive a Bethesda lunch bag filled with "goodies," and La Invasora and Brisa will be conducting a live radio broadcast. For more information, call 903-596-8353.
