Fallen Gregg County Officers To Be Honored At Memorial Service
LONGVIEW — A memorial service to honor Gregg County law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday.

This service will be at Heritage Plaza at 219 E. Methvin St. County Judge Bill Stoudt will be the speaker, said information from Longview PD.

Ceremony will include music by Pine Tree Choir, roll call of officers killed in duty, wreath presentations by Longview PD Honor Guard, riderless horse presented by Gregg County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, bagpipes played by Vernon Love and “Taps” by Longview Police Officer Jeremy Higginbotham.

The police department will also host an open house 2-6 p.m. on May 13 in the Roy Stone Training Center at the police station.
