Man Arrested, Charged With Shooting Son
LONGVIEW — A 77-year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting of his 52-year-old son in Longview Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
Longview Police responded to Neal Street in reference to a shooting. When they arrived, they found the victim, Alan Glenn Webb, had been shot once. The alleged shooter, the victim’s father, was still on the scene, according to a statement from police.
The father, John Webb Jr., was taken into custody without incident, and the son was sent to Good Shepherd Medical Center, where he had surgery for a gunshot wound, according to police.
The father’s bond was set at $7,500 on a charge of aggravated assault, family violence. He was booked into the Gregg County Jail.
