D’Anna Wick Named President-Elect Of Texas Medical Association Alliance
From Staff Reports

D’Anna Wick of Tyler was recently elected president-elect of the Texas Medical Association Alliance (TMAA).

“I am honored and excited to become the president-elect of the TMA Alliance. I look forward to working with our first male president of the alliance, as well as the exceptional group of alliance members who work so diligently to promote a healthier Texas,” Mrs. Wick said in a statement released by TMAA.

Wick, a nurse, is married to Dr. Paul H. Wick, a Tyler psychiatrist.

Mrs. Wick has served as a district director, vice president of community health, vice president of fiscal affairs, and parliamentarian. She has chaired the Budget and Finance Committee and served on the Membership Committee, the TMAA said.

Locally, Mrs. Wick has served as the organization’s president. She received the alliance’s Heart of Gold Award in 2002.

Currently she is on the Alzheimer’s Alliance Board of Directors, volunteers with Hospice of East Texas and Bethesda Health Clinic. She has been president of Junior League of Tyler, president of Texas Psychiatric Alliance, chair of Hospice of East Texas, and was a charter member of PATH. In addition, she is involved with Women’s Symphony League, Texas Rose Festival and Christ Episcopal Church.
