May 5: The Sky is Not Falling
In response to Bill Pelland: Bill, calm down…the sky is not falling.
I agree on some points, not so much on others. You speak of BO as if you know him. You only know what he chooses to show you. That’s with any of the candidates so don’t be so naïve. If this country couldn’t unite after 9/11, BO isn’t going to do it either, and that’s ok. We don’t need warm fuzzies, we need leadership and he doesn’t have the mettle.
There is no worldwide food shortage. You are irresponsibly spouting off what you have heard on television. There is no basis to this hysterical claim. I agree that there are Americans without insurance, but the last thing we need is socialized medicine. It is not the government’s responsibility to provide health insurance for everyone. It needs to be more affordable. If they don’t want it, that’s their decision. Our educational systems are fine. Why else are we being flooded with foreigners coming here on student visas to attend our schools? The problem is the breakdown of the family unit. The parents aren’t responsible for their own kids and refuse to raise them. They expect the schools to do it. The kids in this country are stupid because their parents are allowing them act like criminals. It’s really not that hard to figure out.
Economic failure? Where do you live? This is the greatest country in the world. Yes, gas prices are high but that is not a result of economic failure. It’s because the Middle East is greedy. It’s because the environmentalists in this country won’t allow us to drill for our own oil which we have an abundant amount of. We could greatly decrease our dependence on foreign oil if we drilled here.
Democrats are trying to make this country a welfare state by making American citizens completely dependant on the government for everything. Vote Democrat to live like a Republican? You might as well change our name from USA to Louisiana.
