A slow-moving storm system will bring the chance for showers and thunderstorms to the region through Wednesday night.

Sunday was sunny and mild.

Temperatures ran about 3 degrees above Saturday's, and about 7 degrees below normal.

Temperatures on Monday should rise to near normal, and go above normal on Tuesday.

Low temperatures Sunday morning were slightly lower than those of Saturday, and ran from the middle 40s in the north to the middle 50s in the south.

Low temperatures Monday will be in the 50s, and in the 60s Tuesday.

Afternoon high readings were from the middle 70s in the north to the lower 80s in the south, and ran up to 10 degrees warmer than Saturday's.

High readings Monday afternoon should run from the high 70s to middle 80s, and be in the 80s on Tuesday.

Winds on Sunday were northeasterly to easterly at under 10 mph. Winds will go into the southeast Monday, and the south Tuesday. Monday's velocities should again be light, but speeds are likely to increase Tuesday.

Sunday's highest sustaining wind was easterly at 10 mph with a peak gust of 13 mph, and an average velocity of 3.2. mph. Saturday's average wind velocity was 9.2 mph.

Sunday's average relative humidity was 57 percent, with higher values likely both Monday and Tuesday. Saturday's average was 60 percent.

Skies were clear to fair on Sunday, with only some high thin clouds. Cloud cover will increase and ceilings lower Monday and Tuesday.

Measurable rain fell nowhere in the area Sunday.

Tyler's high temperature of 79 came at 4:00 p.m., following the morning's low of 49 at 3:37 a.m.
