Rockin' C Ranch, an East Texas religious nonprofit, will host an open house 1-4 p.m. on Sunday.

"Rockin' C is uniquely known as a Christian Camp on a working ranch," said information from Rockin' C. "The camp combines good hard work with modern camp favorites."

Children, youth and parents will have the opportunity to see the facilities and take part in activities. Horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, high ropes events and more will be available. Hot dogs and "bug juice" will be served. Families may enter a drawing for one free week of camp.

"The first 10 campers to register on Sunday will receive 50 percent off their tuition." said Rockin' C information. "Everyone who registers will save 15 percent off of their 2008 tuition."

Rockin'C Ranch is located north of Tyler State Park, off of Farm-to-Market Road 14. The camp operates year-round as a summer camp, retreat center, outdoor education program and is also available for corporate and church picnics. The Shady Grove Baptist Church, 12480 FM 14, will hold a "Pastor & Wife 3rd Anniversary" at 3 p.m. on Sunday. The Rev. Gary Walker, pastor of New Birth Fellowship Church in Kilgore, will be the guest speaker. The host pastor is Rev. Marvin Taylor.

The 2008 Memorial Meeting of the Frontier Red Hill Cemetery Association will be held in the cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday. Future meetings will be held on the first Saturday in May. After a short business meeting, a covered dish lunch will be served. "We hope you will bring a dish and share in the fellowship with friends and family as our ancestors did so many years ago on this hill, under the tall stately trees," said information from the association.

Love Overflowing, 2400 Henderson Blvd., Kilgore, will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Jean Warner will be guest speaker.
