April 29: We Speak English
RANT: You published an election notice for the school board elections. Why was it printed in Spanish? This, I think, is still the U.S.A. We speak English, not Spanish. If you are qualified to vote, you should be able to speak and read our language. I have traveled extensively in most of the South American countries, but I have never seen a newspaper in any of these countries where anything was printed in English, especially an election notice. I'll bet you cannot find one in all of your records.
I have no problem with anyone coming to this country but come legally, learn to speak and read our language and pay the same taxes we have to pay. The expense of printing the election notice in Spanish will be paid for by us, not the freeloaders.
