East Texas Medical Center Recognizes Volunteer Workers
East Texas Medical Center Tyler will recognize volunteers during a luncheon Wednesday at Willow Brook Country Club on Wednesday.

The 107 hospital auxiliary members contributed more than 22,382 hours in 2007 – a gift equating to nearly $500,000, said Bob Evans, ETMC Tyler administrator/CEO.

The Auxiliary also will recognize its four scholarship recipients, all who have served as ETMC Junior Volunteers and plan careers in healthcare. They are: Maria Cruces from Chapel Hill High School, $1,000 scholarship; Huynh Nguyen, Robert E. Lee High School, $500; and Rohan Upponi, Whitehouse High School, and Emily Allen, Lindale High School, both $250.

Janie Clapp, owner of Janie’s Cakes, will be the guest speaker.
