Junior League Hosts Kids Event
The Junior League of Tyler will host "Kids in the Kitchen" on Tuesday, following the international initiative designed to help communities address childhood obesity and poor nutrition.
The program is a partnership with 3-N-1 Trinity Services Girls and Boys on a Mission program and is set from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at 918-A North Englewood in Tyler.
Activities will include lessons on the food pyramid and how to make healthy food choices. Children will have hands-on involvement in preparing healthy snacks and will receive goody bags of snack, recipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss and more.
According to information provided by the Junior League, the Kids in the Kitchen even aims to make an impact by educating the public on a grassroots level.
