April 22: Genuine Earth Day
RAVES: Send roses to Camp Tyler and the Earth Day Organizers for putting on a genuinely "Earthy" Earth Day. The Camp Tyler venue was perfect. Probably one of the best venues and content for any Earth Day anywhere.
East Texans, you have a true jewel in Camp Tyler - use it! I've spent half of my life as a Chemical Oceanographer and Atmospheric Chemist and I learned a lot from many of the participants. Highlights for me were the solar, geothermal energy, fish and ground water displays. Plus, cool earth's recycling quiz was very informative! I doubt that many citizens could pass it - I didn't.
Raves to Tyler Paper for the front page, above the fold, reporting of the event in Monday's paper. Rants to Tyler Paper for not including Camp Tyler's event in Saturday's article of the Caldwell Zoo Earth Day.
