April 20: IT’S ABOUT TIME

I read your headline story “Immigration Crackdown.” It is about time something is done about illegal operations in Texas and America. The Tyler Paper reported 45 people were arrested at Pilgrim’s Pride in Mount Pleasant, but I believe the radio reported many more than this were arrested.
You reported that John L. Ratliffe, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Texas said, “These federal indictments underscore our commitment to stop immigration fraud and identity theft in the American workplace.”
What a joke. Absolutely nothing was done to Pilgrim’s Pride, the company that has been encouraging identity theft and illegal immigration. Mount Pleasant and East Texas should not be proud of Pilgrim’s Pride.
In fact, I would advise everybody to buy other companies’ products. If those companies are hiring illegal immigrants with credentials obtained through identity theft, I advise everybody to eat beef.
If the beef industry is doing the same thing, I advise everybody to eat vegetables. If the vegetable industry is doing the same thing, I advise everybody to eat as little as you possibly can. You will be healthier and look better too.
Take the money you save on food and buy you something you like. Whatever you buy will probably come from another country. You will be helping the economy of other countries. At least, you will not be encouraging identity theft and illegal operations here in the U.S.A.
