Spring Home Garden Tour Scheduled May 3
The 6th annual Spring Home Garden Tour, sponsored by the Smith County Master Gardeners, is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday, May 3 at five private gardens in Tyler, spokesperson Andie Rathbone said.

Gardens featured this year include: Nelson garden, 609 Purdue; the Rhodes garden, 711 W. Heritage Drive; the Clark garden, 408 Cumberland Road; the Hyde garden, 1915 S. Chilton Ave. and the Coursey garden, 3405 Colgate Drive.

Tickets are $8 prior to the sale and are available at Brookshires, 100 Rice Road, Tyler; the Potpourri House, 3320 Troup Highway, Tyler; Al H. Horaney's Inc., 5520 Old Jacksonville Highway, Tyler and Blue Moon Nursery, 13062 Farm to Market Road 279, Edom.

Tickets can also be purchased by mail by writing to Home Garden Tour, 13270 Oak Hill Lane, Flint.

Deadline for mail order tickets is April 21.

You may also purchase tickets for $10 each at any of the gardens on the tour the day of the event.

home tour: The garden belonging to Richard and Sheryl Rhodes of Tyler, is one of five on the Spring Home Garden Tour, scheduled May 3 in Tyler. It is sponsored by the Smith County Master Gardeners, and tickets are on sale now. The Rhodes’ garden is located at 711 W. Heritage Drive.
