Obama Wins Smith County Delegates

The Democratic and Republican parties of Smith County have released their lists of delegates to their respective state conventions.

The Democratic and Republican parties of Smith County have released their lists of delegates to their respective state conventions.
Those Democratic delegates will help to choose their party's presidential candidate in the tight race between Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama. Of Smith County's 46 delegates, 42 are pledged to Obama and four are pledged to Sen. Clinton.
Statewide, The Associated Press is reporting that, so far, about 164 of the state's 280 county conventions had reported in, with 2,723 delegates, or 58 percent, pledged to Obama, and 1,997 delegates, or 42 percent, pledged to Sen. Clinton.
