The Democratic and Republican parties of Smith County have released their lists of delegates to their respective state conventions.

Those Democratic delegates will help to choose their party's presidential candidate in the tight race between Sen. Hillary Clinton and Sen. Barack Obama. Of Smith County's 46 delegates, 42 are pledged to Obama and four are pledged to Sen. Clinton.

Statewide, The Associated Press is reporting that, so far, about 164 of the state's 280 county conventions had reported in, with 2,723 delegates, or 58 percent, pledged to Obama, and 1,997 delegates, or 42 percent, pledged to Sen. Clinton.

REPUBLICANS

Smith County delegates to the state Republican convention representing Senate District 1 include John Anderson, Hank Hering, Kenneth Blundell, Arthur Cameron, Mary Lou Daughtrey, Karen Hughes, Jerome Howard, Fether Justice, David King, David Ligon, Sara Maynard, Nathaniel Moran, Dale Moran, Ashton Oravetz III, Wendy Steck, David Scarbrough, Glen Shipley, Hope Short, Mary Watts, Ron Green, Ron Page, Juanita Broyles, Christi Kennedy, Rick Eisenbach, Pam Burton, Wimmiam Law, Kathy Milovich, Jake Massey, Sally Porter, David Pierson, Gail Green, George Stephenson, Matthew Whitt, Kyle Waggoner, John Short Jr., Gilbert Daughtrey, Janie Blundell, Stacey Steel, Walter Judge, Barbara Young, Carrie King, Ken Haygood, Sam Fechenbach, Charles Deems, Gary Jackson, Paula Page, Dianne Farrell, Joyce Fechenbach, Roberta Ligon, Lorraine Scarbrough, Denise Patton, Shirley Anderson, Craig Hughes, and Daniel Thompson.

Delegates from Senate District 2 include Amy Daughtrey, Barbara Eason, Edwin Maddox and Holly Muskus.

Delegates from Senate District 3 include Janet Baber, Al Baker, Ilene Baker, Anna Bastounes, Dianne Caron, John Cole, Marcia Daughtrey, Sharon Emmert, David Eyerly, Kent Faulkner, JoAnn Fleming, Kyle Fleming, Sharon Guthrie, Mollie Herrington, B.J. Langford, Martha Langford, Tamara Loggins, Carolyn McCall, Tom McCall, Art Phillips and John Zoller.

DEMOCRATS

Smith County delegates to the state Democratic convention representing Senate District 1 include Robert Moore, David Anderson, William Liebbe, Debra Williams, Daryl Carrifee, Vickie Washington, Sherryll Brown, Shirley Witherspoon, Karen Wilkerson, Mary Cherie Reagan, Malachi Dews, Lindal Wheat, Carl Westbrook, Will Edmond, Theodore Trott, Channing Curry, John Stone, Benjamin Horne, Clay Allen, Breezy Lake, Maggie Haas, Donna Mann, Michael Tolbert and Clifford Rutledge.

Delegates from Senate District 2 include Leonard Isarell, Crystol Mitchell, Therelee Washington, Barbara Olajide, Michael Mast, James Starling, Wilbert Johnson, Griselda Dargan, Claretta Allen, Sharon Scott, Harry Stewart, Howard Heggins, Joe Starling and Jean Flowers.

Delegates from Senate District 3 include William Oliver, Arleta Farmer, Spirit Scott, Annie Edwards-Williams, Benoit Tand, Robert Odom, Vera Moore and Otho Roy.
